The Best Quotes To Motivate You Through Final Exams

Chris Ryan

Final exams are difficult, stressful, and emotional. At Grand Canyon University, where I attend school, the next three days are perhaps the most important of the entire semester. I feel a lot of pressure to succeed. All the hard work that I have invested in my assignments is at stake, based on the outcome of a single test for each class.

Whether you are also in the midst of final exams or not, I hope you find these inspirational quotes encouraging. Below is a list of my top five.

It’s not about how bad you want it, it’s about how hard you are willing to work for it.

This quote reminds me that desires are useless without actions to back them up. If I want an “A” in a class, I need to ask questions in class, visit my professor’s office hours, and study with classmates.

Don’t watch the clock. Do what it does. Keep going.

In the middle of a tough test, it is easy to lose focus and sit mindlessly, wasting time thinking of other things, wishing the test was over. Patience and persistence are vital to successful test-taking and studying. When questions or concepts are difficult, it is important to take time on that subject and keep trying.

Life is the most difficult exam. Many people fail because they try to copy others, not realizing that everyone has a different question paper.

To me, this quote means to be myself in personality, in sports, and in academics. For academics, I know what methods of studying help me retain the most information and what styles of teaching I prefer. I also like to experiment with different methods of studying to constantly improve how I work. I like to be efficient and this helps me do that.

Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, 'I’m possible.'

I love this quote! There have been many times where I struggled through material in class, in homework, and on exams, not fully understanding it. However, by simply starting each problem, I was able to figure it out. Starting is often is the first step to solving.

Success is never final. Failure is never fatal. It’s courage that counts.

This quote reminds me to continue working despite the outcome. Even if I pass a class, I want to maintain my persistence in the next class I take. If I do poorly in a class, I am motivated to work harder the next time to do better.

Good luck on your final exams.
