JMU Athletics Renews Commitment To Letterwinners Through Athlete Network

James Madison University Athletics (JMU) and the team at Athlete Network are thrilled to announce their partnership with the goal of engaging alumni Duke student-athletes with available services and resources. The partnership launches the JMU Letterwinner Network, a branded digital platform to organize, promote, and track the programs and services offered to their letterwinners.

Competing at the NCAA Division I level in 18 sports, JMU leads the Colonial Athletic Association as the first conference member to power their own customized athlete network using UNITE software. Dating nearly back to the institution's founding in 1908, JMU's women's athletics tradition is among the oldest in the nation. The JMU Letterwinner Network launch will build on the excitement and success of historic 2020-2021 season with multiple postseason runs.

“The Athlete Network software will open endless opportunities for JMU Athletics to improve communication, engagement and activation with our letterwinners. There are so many key constituents for a college athletics department. We have targeted our alumni student-athletes as a key group for relationship building and growth possibilities. We are excited about this initiative and look forward to working with Athlete Network and all of our former Dukes.”
- Jeff Bourne, Director of Athletics

In addition to expanding communication with their letterwinners, JMU Letterwinner Network will also immediately provide cutting edge data insights and reporting to athletic administrators, expand career resources, and provide opportunities to engage with athletic leadership and their program.

“We are very excited to start working with Athlete Network! This partnership will provide JMU Athletics with even better resources to improve our connection with our former student-athletes. The technology and resources that Athlete Network provides will allow us to continue building relationships even after our Dukes leave campus.”
- Cliff Wood, Senior Associate A.D. for Development

"We are so proud to partner with JMU Athletics and Jeff's great team of people. They have been incredibly successful on and off the field, and we look forward to helping them raise the bar with their letterwinners club as well. Engaging their former athletes is a priority, and we are honored to work with them to help achieve those goals."
- Brett Fuller, VP of Partnerships at Athlete Network
